DES MOINES — Junior Braxtyn Dencklau placed sixth to lead the Fort Dodge girls golf team here Tuesday at the Iowa Alliance North Championships.

Dencklau had an 18-hole total of 96, placing behind five golfers from Ames.

The Little Cyclones won the meet with a 338, as Emersen Motl fired the low round with a 77. Marshalltown was second, with the Dodgers placing sixth with a 438.

FDSH’s Alani Crouse finished 13th with a 111, Emma Lloyd was 16th with a 114, Felicity Strain placed 18th with a 117 and Brielle Crouch was 21st with a 131.

Fort Dodge returns to action Friday when they host an invitational at the Country Club. The field includes Humboldt, Webster City, Mason City, Waukee Northwest, Newton, Des Moines East, Ames and Sioux City Heelan.
