Dodger girls host FDSH golf invite
Junior Dencklau finishes 13th
The Fort Dodge girls golf squad hosted their annual invitational on Friday at the Country Club.
Junior Braxtyn Dencklau placed 13th overall for the Dodgers with a 48-44–92. Dencklau recorded six pars in her round.
Freshman Emma Lloyd (49-56–105) was next in line for FDSH, followed by Alani Crouse (55-56–111) and Felicity Strain (54-64–118). Lloyd’s round was in the Top-30 individually in the field of over 50 players.
The Dodgers were in sixth place overall with a 426. Waukee Northwest (321) edged Ames (325) for the top spot.
Saleah Vivanh-Vong of Des Moines East carded a three-over par 74 for medalist honors. Hannah Pettitt of Northwest (77) was the runner-up.
Humboldt finished a single shot behind Fort Dodge. The Wildcats were led by McKenna Mathis (99). Jordyn Fritz (107) and Lillian Holm (108) followed.
Kennedy Halling (107) and Ava Peterson (111) paced Webster City.
