Webster City pulls away from Gaels in baseball
WEBSTER CITY — The Webster City baseball team took advantage of 16 walks to post a 20-5 victory over St. Edmond here Wednesday night in four innings.
The Lynx (3-3 overall) exploded for 15 runs in the fourth to end the game after the Gaels (3-1) scored five in the top of the frame.
Jaxon Griffith had three RBI and scored three times, Keegan Hisler drew three walks and scored three times with two RBI, and Braylon Dyvig scored three times.
Matthew Tesdahl, Josh Stansfield and Trevyon Lyons all drove in two.
Gavin Griffith earned the win, striking out four.
Ethan Swisher and Jack McElroy each drove in two with Hayden Derrig recording an RBI for the Gaels.
St. Edmond returns to action Friday when they host Iowa Falls-Alden.
