Dodgers fall to Southeast Polk at Rogers Park
The Fort Dodge baseball team couldn’t find an answer for Southeast Polk’s pitching duo of Noah Trexel and Cael Julander on Saturday.
The Dodgers (8-9 overall) didn’t get a hit off the duo, as they dropped a 7-1 contest to the Rams (14-7).
Trexel and Julander walked a combined six batters and hit three Dodgers for 10 base runners. Trexel went three innings, striking out six, while Julander went four, fanning seven and giving up an earned run in the fourth inning to the Dodgers.
Fort Dodge tied the contest in the fourth with their first run, but the Rams plated five in the fourth and added one in the fifth.
Jaxson Dencklau drew four walks for the Dodgers. Tru McBride, Rylan Kingrey and Dalton Eckley were all hit by pitches.
The Dodgers are back in action on Monday when they travel to Ames (9-11) for a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
Both teams enter on two-game losing streaks.
The Little Cyclones have won the last four meetings and Fort Dodge leads the series 22-21-1 in the last 24 contests.
