Dodgers can’t catch Bobcats
MARSHALLTOWN — The Fort Dodge boys stayed close with Marshalltown in the first half, but a big third quarter was too much for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers (0-5 overall, 0-2 in Iowa Alliance Conference) dropped a 56-31 decision to the Bobcats (3-4, 1-1).
Marshalltown built an 11 point (28-17) halftime lead, but outscored the Dodgers 16-6 in the third quarter for a commanding 44-23.
Cade Westerhoff led the Dodgers with 13 points. Carter Woodruff and Hayden Zuspann had five points each, while Reggie Pederson added four.
Kyle Smith led the Bobcats with 18 points. LaMar Johnson added 16 points and Drake Gersema chipped in with 11 points.
