Dodgers swim at Marshalltown
SPENCER — The Fort Dodge boys swim team hit the pool for the first time this season in a quadrangular on Tuesday.
Carroll won the meet. Spencer was second, followed by the Dodgers and Bishop Garrigan.
Fort Dodge’s Carter Jorgensen picked up two third place finishes. Jorgensen took bronze in the 200 freestyle (2:09.54) and the 500 freestyle (5:43.15).
Brady Major was third in the 100 backstroke (1:14.27).
The 200 freestyle relay of Jorgensen, Aiden Seagren, Major and Evan Cooper was third (1:51.58).
Bishop Garrigan’s Colin Roberts was third in the 50 freestyle (25.69) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.89).
For the Golden Bears, Matt Besch was second in the 100 butterfly (1:01.17).
Bishop Garrigan’s relay squad of Besch, Dalton Klenz, Aiden Lichter and Roberts placed third in the 400 freestyle relay (4:28.79).
Fort Dodge is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Mason City.
