Dodger swimmers defeat DM East
DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys swim squad earned a dual win over Des Moines East here on Thursday.
The Dodgers posted a 98-68 win.
Evan Cooper was a double winner for FDSH, taking the 50 freestyle (25.20) and 100 butterfly (1:05.38). Dodger Aiden Seagren was victorious in both the 500 freestyle (6:01.41) and the 100 breaststroke (1:18.46).
Carter Jorgensen claimed gold in the 200 freestyle (2:07.12).
Fort Dodge won relays in the 200 freestyle (1:46.07) and 400 freestyle (4:02.88). Cooper, Jorgensen, Seagren and Brady Major comprised both quartets.
Samuel Brockbank (100 breaststroke), Elijah Lawrence (50 freestyle), Jayden Stanley (100 freestyle) and the 200 freestyle relay (Jacob Hunter, Evan Potter, Oliver Brockbank and Owen Gruver) were Dodger junior varsity champs. Fort Dodge won the JV dual, 39-11.
