Split for Dodger bowlers at DM North
DES MOINES — For the first time in 2025, the Fort Dodge bowling teams hit the lanes on Thursday.
The Dodger girls defeated Des Moines North by a final of 1,894-1,246. The Dodger boys lost, 1,875-1,685.
Calli Graves had the top score for the girls, rolling a 295 series with a high game of 160. Kaitlyn Folsom (277), Sammantha Welter (263), Felicity Strain (249), Gabby Santana Bass (218) and Samantha Anderson (192) followed.
Trenton Beck had the high series for the FDSH boys, rolling a 387 with a high game of 214. Blake Seeman (346), Slade Babb (328), Shadin Roach (323), Kody VanValkenburg (301), and Josh Jass (295) were next in line.
Roach had the only other 200 game with a 210.
Ava Wesels rolled a 230 and Joely Gilbert had a 204 series for the Fort Dodge junior varsity.
Bailen Peterson rolled a 313 for the JV boys, who won 1,374-1,129.
The Dodgers are back in action on Jan. 20 when they host Greene County at Family Bowling Center.
