St. Edmond can’t catch Clear Lake
CLEAR LAKE — The St. Edmond girls had no answer for Madi Ott and Clear Lake here Friday night, falling 65-20.
Ott scored a game-high 28 points, helping the Lions race out to a commanding 39-14 lead at the half.
“I focused more on doing what we needed to do to stop them instead of just focusing on what we needed to do,” SEHS head coach CJ Tracy said. “That is on me and is a mistake I will not make again.
“We needed to concern ourselves with what we need to work on and improve upon, and not worry about who we are playing.”
Abby Huss had six points with Chloe Palmer and Olivia Andrew each adding four. Morgan Lewis scored three points.
The Gaels begin a busy week with three road games on Monday at Eagle Grove. They travel to Manson Northwest Webster on Thursday before heading to Webster City next Friday.
