Triton men drop second straight
IOWA FALLS — The Iowa Central men suffered a second straight tough loss, falling to No. 11 Ellsworth here on Saturday, 78-75.
The Tritons (11-9 overall, 5-6 in ICCAC) received a 24-point performance from Jordan Cain, as Terrius Walker joined him in double figures with 11.
After taking a 39-34 lead at the half, though, Iowa Central was outscored in the final 20 minutes by the Panthers (16-5, 6-4) and Ray Randhawa, who had a game-high 25. Jonovan Wlkinson added 18 points and Rollings Kamanda had six points with 13 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three blocked shots.
Cain and Vice Grbic each had seven rebounds for the Tritons, as Lane Campbell and Irakli Akhalaia both scored nine.
Iowa Central hosts second-ranked Kirkwood on Wednesday night. The Tritons knocked off the Eagles in Cedar Rapids in December, 83-62.
