Area teams compete at BVU indoor
STORM LAKE — Alyssa Richman added another indoor title to her resume here Monday night, placing first in the 1,500 at the Buena Vista Indoor.
Richman led a host of area winners along with Top-8 finishes by Manson Northwest Webster.
Kyla Egli was second in the 60 hurdles and third in the long jump for the Cougars, who were second in the shuttle hurdle with Egli running the lead leg. That relay also consisted of Addie McCullough, Raygin Anderson and Lucy Kohnen.
Ava Moline added a fourth in the shot put for MNW.
Redge Potts of South Central Calhoun won the 1,600 while Titan teammate Tristin Gorden was the shot put runner-up.
Andrew Anderson was fifth in the high jump and seventh in the 60 hurdles, Mya Ridgely placed seventh in the 60, Marshall Bundt was seventh in the shot put and Jossa Haupert eighth in the 400.
South Central Calhoun also took fourth in the boys distance medley relay and sixth in the shuttle hurdle relay.
Pocahontas Area got a gold from Halee Hauswirth in the shot put to go along with the girls shuttle hurdle (fourth), 4×200 (sixth), 4×400 (eighth) and 4×800 (eighth) all earning medals with Natalie Point racing on three of those.
Caleb Roberts was sixth in the high jump and Allie Lake seventh in the 400.
Libbie Veit, Madison Meister, Tori Hauser and Wendy Veit won the girls shuttle hurdle relay for East Sac County, as Wendy Veit also placed seventh in the long jump.
Landon Sporrer was sixth in the 1,600 and Riley Aragon seventh in the 800 for the Raiders.
West Bend-Mallard’s Maddie Fehr took second in the 60 and fifth in the long jump, Allison Fehr was the high jump runner-up, Tyra Schupbach placed third in the 1,500 and Addison Montag seventh in the shot put.
The Wolverines also got a fourth in the girls 4×800 and an eighth in the distance medley.
