Myers, Harvey win for Gaels
HUMBOLDT — The St. Edmond girls track team continued their week here with another indoor event on Thursday.
Mariah Myers and Josie Harvey both won individual titles, as Myers was first in the shot put and Harvey in the 60 hurdles.
Myers broke her own school record with a throw of 39-4 while Harvey went 10.3 in her race.
“It was good to get some girls into some different races and get some others an opportunity to run,” SEHS head coach CJ Tracy said. “With this being our second meet this week and not being able to practice on Wednesday, there were many good times and distances.”
Lily Eslick finished second in the 1,500 (6:08) and sixth in the 800 while the distance medley relay of Faith Shirbroun, Brianna Saathoff, Sasha Hess and Naomi Valles placed second in 5:08.
Valles was also fourth in the 800 and Hess seventh in the 200. The 4×200 of Shirbroun, Hess, Harvey and Saathoff also placed seventh for the Gaels.
