DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge girls tennis team downed Des Moines Hoover here Tuesday evening, 11-0.

Manuela Rodriguez, Amy Muftillaeva, Grace Behrens and Lacey Larson all posted straight-set 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles for the Dodgers. Kaitlyn Folsom and Claire Thompson also added wins in straight sets.

“The girls took care of business,” FDSH head coach Julie Astor said. “Coming off a close match and a long weekend, it was good to see us get back in the win column. We were able to give some of the other girls a chance in doubles and they played great.”

In doubles, Larson and Kam Gochee, Janelle Derrig and Evah Nostrom, Mia Carpenter and Grace Rivera, and Meah McCaleb and Edyn Witham won in straight sets.

Fort Dodge returns to action Monday when they host Boone.
