GOWRIE — The St. Edmond boys golf team edged Southeast Valley here on Tuesday.

The Gaels carded a 174, with the Jaguars finishing at 176.

There was a four-way tie for medalist honors, as St. Edmond’s Ty Mericle earned the top spot via the tiebreaker rules after finishing with a 42. Jack McElroy and Carson Bargfrede also shot 42s for the Gaels, as did Southeast Valley’s Karson Roper.

Brady Hanson (43) and Will Comp (44) were next in line for the Jaguars.

Hunter Horn (54) paced the Gael junior varsity.

St. Edmond is back in action on Tuesday at Algona. The Jaguars play Thursday at home against Pocahontas Area.
