Meyer wins 100 hurdles
JEFFERSON — Maeleena Meyer’s best time of the year earned her gold on Monday night.
The Dodger junior won the 100-meter hurdles at the Greene County Invitational in a time of 17.07.
“Maeleena just keeps improving,” said Fort Dodge head coach Todd Constable. “She is real consistent and we are seeing her times drop.
“She’s a very hard worker and has been working on her speed.”
The 4×800 quartet of Brooklyn Nelson, Linnie Pratt, Saiya Noborikawa and Emma Mathis placed second.
Pratt and Noborikawa went fourth and fifth in the 1500 for the Dodgers.
The 4×100 team of Aneliese Schuur, Hope Alstott, Ashlyn Wills and Ava Wessels were fourth for the Dodgers.
Charlotte Breeser, Teryn Rippentrop, Gabrielle Wirtz and Nelson were fourth in the 4×400.
Nelson went 4-8 to place fourth in the high jump.
Fort Dodge is back in action on Thursday when they host the Dodger Relays.
