Pederson blasts three home runs

CRESTON — The Iowa Central baseball team won its eighth consecutive game on Thursday.

The Tritons (30-6 overall) beat Southwestern 15-2.

Iowa Central pounded out 13 leads, with three players recording multiple hits.

Spencer Pederson had a career day, blasting three home runs and driving in five runs. He was 4-for-5 with four runs scored.

The Tritons had five homeruns in the contest. Luke Sigwarth had two longballs and three hits, driving in four runs and scoring twice.

Sawyer Stein also had a home run, driving in four runs.

Colin Richie had two hits. Jake Busson and Bryson Carpenter had an RBI each.

Maddux Gast picked up the win, going six innings, giving up three hits, while allowing only an earned run. AJ Rasmussen struck out the side in his inning of relief.

The Tritons are back in action on Saturday when they host NIACC at Rogers Park. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
