The second seed claimed the Tritons’ third national crown on the night Saturday, beating third seed Isabella Morgan of Snow, 7-4 in the 145-pound championship.
Earlier in the evening, third-seeded Aniyah Dinwiddie upset top seed Angelica Vicente of Indian Hills, 5-2, for gold at 124.
“Vicente crushed Aniyah’s dreams last year in the semifinals,” ICCC head coach Zak Hensely said. “She waited a year to get it back. She wrestled a smart match and used every second to her advantage.
“I’m proud of her for making the adjustments and positive changes.”

Fort Dodge Senior High graduate and top seed Alexis Ross captured the 138 pound crown, beating No. 2 Julia Chambers of Iowa Western, 2-2 on criteria.
Fourth-seeded Avery Mohr was the runner up at 131.
The Tritons, who were team runner-up a year ago, placed third with 181 points. Indian Hills (294.5) was the champion, followed by Iowa Western (191.5).
Villa was named the Outstanding Wrestler of the meet for her accomplishment, mostly the upset in the semifinals.
“She (Villa) had the best tournament and you saw that with the Outstanding Wrestler award,” Hensely said. “She beat a girl in the semifinals that was the defending champion and undefeated.
“She had a great training partner with Alexis. She pushed her to new heights. We’ve been lucky to have both of them.”
The second-seeded Villa earned a 5-2 decision over No. 1 Genesis Gilmore of Indian Hills. Gilmore, a defending champion, was also unbeaten.
In the first round of the tournament, Villa had a 10-0 tech fall (3:32) over Hailey Gordon of Umpqua. She then pinned Lexi Beckler of Hawkeye in 2:26. In the quarterfinals, Villa recorded a 10-0 (4:57) tech fall versus No. 4 Sara Daley of Iowa Western.
Dinwiddie lost to Vicente in the semifinals last season, but this time, Dinwiddie was the aggressor.
Dinwiddie won a tight 3-3 decision (on criteria) against No. 7 Chanelle Alburg of Carl Albert State.
In her first match, she pinned Shakira Ortiz Strauss of Southwestern Oregon in 24 seconds. Her second-round match was an 11-6 decision over No. 8 Ashton Hofeling of Southeast.
The quarterfinal win was a fall in 1:36 over Kyah Miller of Big Bend-D1.
Mohr lost to No. 7 Katie Ramirez-Quintero of Joliet, 6-5, in the championship match. She beat No. 3 Amaria Ridgner of Indian Hills, 11-2, in the semifinals.
Mohr had two falls and a decision in her first two matches.
No. 9 seed Amaya Fairley Vasquez (160) was fourth at 160 pounds. Sixth-seeded Myah Rausch (103) and Aneth Campos (110) both placed fifth for Iowa Central.
It was a banner season for the Tritons, who won the NJCAA Coaches Association National Dual championship and the regional crown.
“I can’t say enough how proud we are of this team,” Hensely said. “Every single athlete competed. They may have not all gotten the results that they wanted, but we are proud of their actions and ability.
“This was a great year for our program.”
